Difference ExitNodes, StrictNodes, StrictExitNodes?

Dec18
In various Tor Tutorials and forum postings I found different versions of exit node restrictions

ExitNodes 1
StrictExitNodes 1
StrictNodes 1

Whats the difference?

ExitNodes 1 is not a valid configuration entry. Instead you use either country codes, fingerprints, names or IP addresses of exist nodes.
StrictNodes 1 will force Tor to use the nodes in ExitNodes even when it breaks things (exit node is offline).

"NSA"I have found this is NOT actually correct. (See my thread)
Even though my torrc file says»
ExitNodes {at},{be},{bg},{bm},{by},{ch},{cz},{dk},{fi},{fr},{gr},{hr},{hu},{is},{it},{li},{lt},{lu},{nl},{no},{pl},{pt},{ro},{sl},{sk}
StrictNodes 1

Tor does still sometime use a USA Tor exit server ...
